this baked macaroni & cheese is creamy and flavorful! add a couple of dashes of hot sauce with the seasonings if you want a little kick!
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
5 cups milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 lb. cooked elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
8 slices American cheese, cut up
10-12 Ritz crackers, crushed
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Measure flour into stock pot. Gradually add milk and seasonings, stirring with whisk until blended. Cook over med. heat, stirring constantly until thickened ( about 8 minutes ). Add cheddar, mozzarella, and American cheese. Cook 3 minutes or until melted, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in cooked elbow macaroni. Pour into 16x 10 baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle crushed Ritz crackers and grated Parmesan over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
