Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies

 an old favorite

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 T. vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup oat flour ( grind oats in blender )
2 T. wheat germ
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar, butter, and shortening until light and fluffy. Add yogurt and vanilla; blend well. Stir in flours, wheat germ, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-12 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool 1 minute on pan. Remove to cooling rack to cool completely.

Makes 6 dozen cookies
