Fill a large pot with water. Add 1/4 c. sugar and 2 T. lemon juice. Add 4-6 shucked ears of corn and bring water to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes and turn off heat.
Let sit for 5 minutes.
Drain corn. Add melted butter and salt.
Enjoy!
You can also MICROWAVE perfect corn on the cob!! This is a great method if you only want one or two ears.
Leave corn in the shucks and place in the microwave.
Cook on High for 4 minutes ( 8 minutes for 2 ears ). Let sit for a couple of minutes.
Using a sharp knife, cut through the stem end, making through to go through the corn. Hold by the silks and shake the cooked corn out of the shucks onto a plate.
Voila! Perfectly cooked corn, with no silks attached! Add butter and salt and eat!
