Triple Chocolate Fudge

I make this at Christmastime


4 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 cup butter

1 (12-oz) can evaporated milk

4 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

3 (4 0z ) pkgs sweet baking chocolate, cut into pieces

1 ( 12 oz ) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cut into pieces

2 tsp. vanilla

1/4 tsp. almond extract

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans


Line 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan with aluminum foil; grease w/ butter. In large saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Cook and stir over med. heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly. Boil uncovered over medium heat without stirring for 5 minutes.

Remove pan from heat; stir in marshmallows until melted. Add sweet chocolate, chocolate chips, and unsweetened chocolate, stirring constantly until all chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla, almond extract and walnuts. Quickly spread in greased foil-lined pan. Cool completely. Cut into squares.

60 squares ( 5 lbs.)
