Good Morning Oatmeal

1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 T. flax meal (ground flax seed)
2 T. golden raisins
2 T. chopped almonds


Combine ingredients in a microwave-proof bowl.  Microwave on high for 3 minutes.   Add a little milk or almond milk.  Sweet with maple syrup if desired.

** I sometimes also add 1-2 T. roasted shelled pepitas and  1/2 c chopped apple before cooking.
or add chopped fresh peach or handful of fresh blueberries after cooking.
